If you have any information about the Kendal Ladies Darts & Domino League, please do come forward.
Looking for a timeline - Years, pubs, clubs, landlord and ladies, players etc.
These fabulous ladies are Alice, Jean and Lesley who all played for the Wheatsheaf.
Alice and Lesley are sadly no longer with us but they have left their mark.
We have The Lesley Bush Domino Shield.
Linda started her Darts and Domino journey for The Bowman in 1975.
She played for various pubs across town over the years - The Bowman, The Dunn Horse, The Last Orders, The Ring O Bells, Where they were Champions for 5 years on the bounce, The sawyers, The Smokies, The Horse & Rainbow and more besides, before they have finally settled at the Clock Tower this year.
She recalls being pregnant at one of the presentation nights and had won the individual Darts that year. A little wooden trophy.
If you would like to donate a raffle prize towards our next presentation, please do get in touch!
Our league is run by a working group of 5 ladies who play on teams across the league. We meet once a year for an AGM, fund raise all year and, spending all proceeds on trophies, shields, events, raffle prizes, DJ etc. We hold a presentation night with a disco to celebrate the years successes.
Many a fabulous story told about presentation nights -
Some well earned shields and trophies
